Hi, I’m Reegan Whelchel

I’m Reegan — a birth and postpartum doula, photographer, and soon-to-be childbirth educator in the Pacific Northwest. My love for this work grew from being part of a big, blended family and spending years as both a big sister and a nanny.

My path into birth work became clear when a close friend, who is also a doula, invited me to document her son’s birth. Witnessing that moment — the power, the intimacy, the holiness of new life — turned years of debating into a wholehearted yes. It was an experience that changed me forever and made me realize this is exactly where I’m meant to be.

With over 15 years of photography experience, I blend skilled support with honest, documentary-style storytelling. I specialize in birth photography, newborn sessions, and capturing the emotion of life’s most meaningful transitions.

My Approach

As a doula, I offer calm, evidence-based support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, along with overnight care, meal prep, and newborn guidance.

My goal is simple: to create a supported, empowering, and peaceful experience for every family I serve.
